Determine k if 2 is the slope of the line through 2,5 and k,3 points​

Solution :-

  • Generally , Formula for finding slope of the line is

m =  \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}

  • Here 'm' is slope

  • Y is ordinate and x is absicssa

Now let's find the value of k by substituting the given values.

2=  \frac{3 - 5}{k - 2}

 - 2 = 2k - 4

2k = 2

k = 1

Note :-

  • Two non-vertical lines are perpendicular if the product of their slopes is -1
