Given ,

Perpendicular height /Height of flagstaff ( p ) = 30 m

Distance of the base of flagstaff from the point /base (b) = 30m = p

We Know that ,

Tan a = P / b

Tan a = 30 / 30

Tan a = 1

Tan a  = Tan 45 ( Tan 45 = 1 )

a = 45

Hence angle of elevation is 45 degrees.
