determine the AP whose third term is 16 and the 7 term exceeds the 5 term by 12

Given, a7=a5+12
a3=16
a+2d=16.....(i) =a+4d+12.........(ii)
=a+2d-16......(iii)
(ii)-(iii)
a+4d+12-a+2d-16=0
6d=4
d=2/3
(i)...a+2d=16
a+2(2/3)=16
a+4/3=16
a=18
now find the ap ureself.

a3 = 16

=> a + 2d = 16

=> a = 16 - 2d

a7 = a5 + 12

=> a + 6d = a + 4d + 12

=> 2d= 12

=> d = 6

a = 16 - 2d

=> a = 16 - 12

=> a = 4

AP = 4, 10, 16...
