perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)
48 = 2(16 + b) \\ \frac{48}{2} = 16 + b \\ 24 = 16 + b \\ 24 - 16 = b \\ 8 cm= b

breadth= 8 cm
area of rectangle =l×b
 = 16 \times 8 \\ = 128 cm sq
hope it helps

Zarchiever: please tell me
Zarchiever: the cost of laminating of size 60cm* 35cm at the rate of 2 rupees per 100cm square
thevamp: find the area
thevamp: that will be in cm sq
thevamp: divided by 100 and multiply by 2
thevamp: 60×35=2100. 2100÷100. 21.0×2=42.0

Firstly,
let's find the breadth.

perimeter of rectangle =2 (l+b)
= > 2(16 + b) = 48
48 ÷ 2 = 16 + b
24 =16+b
b=24-16
b=8.

hence, area of rectangle =length ×breadth.
=16cm×8cm
=128 cm.sq
