In context to questions asked,

We have to determine the value of area of square.

As per questions,

It is given that,

Length of side AB of square ABCD is 3 cm.

As we know that,

Area of square will be,

 {side}^{2}

So, for determining the value of area of square we will put the value of side in above formula,

Hence, we will get,

area =  {3}^{2}  = 9 \:  {unit}^{2}
