As we can observe that (5,13,12) are pythagorean triplets,

So,

××××××××××××
Area of right angled triangle =>
 \frac{1}{2 }  \times product \: of \: small \: sides

××××××××××××××

Here,

Area = 1/2 × 5 × 12

Area = 5 × 6

Area = 30 cm²

I hope this will help you

a = 5 cm

b = 12 cm

c = 13 cm

S = ( a + b +c) / 2

=> S = (5+12+ 13)/2

=> S = ( 30 /2)

=> S = 15

Area = sqrt [ S ( s-a) (s - b) (s-c)]

= sqrt [ 15(15-5)(15-12)(15-13)]

= sqrt ( 15 × 10 × 3 × 2)

= sqrt ( 900)

= 30 cm^2
