By taking common terms out

x-².x² (x²+1)

On further simplification

X-²+² (x²+1)

So, we get

X (x²+1)

X²+1

So, the degree is 2 of the given expression.

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

= x^-²(x⁴+x²)

= x^(-²+⁴) + x^(-²+²)

= x^² + x^⁰

Therefore the highest power of x here is 2 which is also the degree of the polynomial.
