if a body of mass m moving at initial velocity u accelerates uniformly with an acceleration a for a time t..so that it's final velocity changes to v,. then....
initial momentum p1 = mu
final momentum p2= mv..
so that change in momentum = p2-p1 = mv- mu = m (v-u)...
according to the second law of motion
force = f directly proportional to change in momentum ÷ time...
force directly proportional to p2- p1÷ t
force proportional to m (v-u)÷t..
force directly proportional to ma..... [ v-u÷t] = acceleration....
force = kma...
the quantity k is a constant of proportionality. ..
