Let the terms of the A.P series be t1,t2,t3,t4,t5,t6.........
Given,t7=-1 and t16=17
Let the first term be 'a' and 'd' be the common difference.
Thus we have,
a+6d =-1 and
a+15d= 17
------------
d = 2
Putting the value of d=2 in a+6d=-1 we get ‘a’ as -13
Therefore the A.P series is-
-13,-11,-9,-7,-5,-3,-1,1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19.......
So,the general term of the series is-
tn= a + (n-1)d
=-13+ (n-1)2
= 2n - 15
Therefore the answer is 2n-15
