First....you will have to take the LCM of all those numbers.
The LCM is 120. So to find the number which is exactly divisible by 8,10 and 12..you will have to multiply all these numbers to 120 individually.
120×8=960
120×10=1200
120×12=1440
However, 1200 and 1440 are not 3 digit numbers....so our only option is 960.
So we will check this out if 960 is actually divisible by all...
960÷8=120
960÷10=96
960÷12=80
Therefore, 960 is the greatest 3 digit number divisible by 8,10 and 12.

the greatest 3 digit no =999
we divide 999/120
we get remender
39
so we subtract 39 from 999
we get 960 ans
120
