Let h be the height of the mountain.

In  CAB,

Or h = x ...(i)

In  DAB,

Or

[Using (i)]

3x = 10 + x

 x = 5

h =  5

Thus, the height of the mountain is 5km.

Answer:

height = 5 km

Explanation:

*in the 2nd last line it would be -

h(1 - 0.27×√3)=2.7 and

0.27 ×√3=0.46

1-0. 46=0.54

0.54×5=2.7
