Answer:

What is the magnitude of the resultant vector? When there are 2 forces of 10N and the angle between is 135 degree?

First of all, you use head to tail rule to combine the two vectors. After the combination, you will have the resultant force vector and you can find the one angle (x) by using supplementary angles (works with any two vectors). As we can see the angle between them is 135 degrees and then the other angle must be 45 and therefore, also the x=45degrees (vertically opposite angles).

Now that you have two sides and an angle, you can use law of cosines!

c^2 =a^+b^2-(2ab)(cos(c))

put the values:

c=sqrt((10^2+10^2)-(2*(10)(10))(cos(45)))

c= 58.57 approx.
