Solution:-

Given ,

  • Velocity = 5m/s
  • Momentum = 50 kgm/s

We need to find ,

  • Mass of body = ?

As we know that ,

  • Momentum = mass × velocity

Substituting known values we have ,

⇒ Momentum = mass × velocity

⇒ 50 = mass × 5

⇒ Mass = 50/5

Mass of body = 10kg

Hence , mass of body = 10kg

Given :-

  • Velocity (v) = 5 m/s
  • Momentum = 50 kg. m/s

To Find :-

  • The mass of an object.

Solution :-

Momentum formula is given as ;

p = m × v

Here,

  • p = Momentum
  • m = Mass
  • v = Velocity

Units,

  • p = kg.m/s
  • m = kg
  • v = m/s

[ Substitute the values in the formula ]

↪ 50 = m × 5

↪ m = 50/5

m = 10 kg

Therefore,

The mass of an object is 10 kg.
