Given :-

  • Quadratic equation: - 2x + 9/4 = 0

To Find :-

  • The nature of roots.

Solution :-

Given that, - 2x + 9/4 = 0

On comparing with ax² + bx + c = 0 , We get :

➡ a = 1 , b = -2 , c = 9/4

As we know that,

\huge \mathfrak \red{Δ = b² - 4ac}

[ Putting values ]

➡ Δ = (-2)² - 4 × 1 × (9/4)

➡ Δ = 4 - 4 × 9/4

➡ Δ = 4 - 9

➡ Δ = -5

\huge\mathfrak \blue{Δ < 0}

Hence,

  • The roots are not real and unequal.
