Here a= 6 b= 6 c= - 2

discriminate b^2-4ac

If b^2-4ac > 0 it will be real and not equal

If b^2-4ac = 0 it will be real and equal

If b^2-4ac < 0 it will be imaginary and not equal

Now put the values of a, b, c

6^2-4(6)(-2)

36+48

84 > 0 so it will be real and not equal
