Hello Saurabh,

● Explanation -

Wavelength of lines in Paschen series is calculated as -

1/λ = R (1/n1² - 1/n2²)

Substitute values, n1 = 3 and λ >= 1000 nm = 10^-6 m,

1/10^-6 = 1.097×10^7 × (1/3² - 1/n2²)

(1/9 - 1/n2²) = 1/10.97

1/n2² = 1/9 - 1/10.97

1/n2² = 0.01995

n2 = √50.12

n2 = 7.079

n2 ~ 7

No of lines lines in paschen series will be n2-n1 = 7-3 = 4.

Best luck dear..
