Starting with the highest on the list, O would take its preferred charge of -2 and with 7 of them that equals -14 total. Next you use your 1A and 2A elements that take their group number as their charge. K has a charge of +1 so with two of those you get a total of +2. With these two added together you get a total of -12 and this is split up between 2 chromium atoms so you end up have chromium with a oxidation charge of +6.
