2x+5y=20...(1) and x=5/2y=> 2x-5y=0...(2) Add equations (1) and (2)=> 2x+2x+5y-5y =20 => 4x=20
=> x=5 . Substitute x=5 in the equation(2)=> 2(5)-5y=0 => y=5/5(2) =2. So x=5 and y=2 is the solution of these linear equations .
