Given,

Amount of current=12A

Voltage supply =240 volt

Time=2hrs

To Find,

Resistance of an electric fire and power rating.

Solution,

Here, current is given, I=12A

Potential difference , V= 240v

So power is= 240 × 12 = 2880 W=2.88kW

We know that Resistance is, R= v/ I

Resistance= 240/12 = 20 ohm

Time used for this, t= 20h

electrical energy consumed,

 = 2.88kw ×20 = 57.6 unit

Hence,  57.6 unit energy is consumed, Power rating is 2.88kW and resistance is 20ohm.
