Method 1:

x−3–√y+1=0

⇒3–√y=x+1

⇒y=13–√x+13–√

In slope - intercept form: y=mx+x , m is called the slope. Comparing the given equation with the above standard form, we get

m=13–√

Method 2:

Differentiating the given equation with respect to x, we can obtain the slope of straight line as follows:

⇒1−3–√y′+0=0

⇒y′=13–√=m

m=13–√
