Given :- Determine the square root of sum of square of 24 and 143. Again find out the least number by which the difference of their square will be added to get a perfect square number ?

Solution :-

→ sum = (24)² + (143)² = 21025

now,

→ √(21025) = 145

again,

→ Difference = (143)² - (24)² = 19873

now,

→ √19873 ≈ 140

so,

→ 140² < 19873 < 141² = 19600 < 19873 < 19881

then,

→ Number must be added to get a perfect square number = 19881 - 19873 = 8 (Ans.)
