Determine the value of 'a' if the system of linear equations 3x+2y-4=0 and ax-y-3=0 will represent intersecting lines?

'a' can have any value except -3/2 for intersecting lines.

Step-by-step explanation:

For intesrsecting lines : a1/a2 ≠ b1/b2

so in equation 1 & 2: a1/a2 = 3/a

                                  b1/b2 = 2/-1

 so,

       3/a ≠ 2/-1

       2a ≠ -3

         a ≠ -3/2

hence, a can have any value except -3/2
