Hello there,

● Answer -
γ = 7/5

● Solution -
For any gas at moderate temperature,
γ = Cp/Cv
γ = 1 + 2/f

A diatomic gas has 3 translational and 2 rotational degrees of freedom. i.e. total 5 degrees of freedom.
γ = 1 + 2/5
γ = 7/5

Therefore, value of γ for diatomic gas N2 is 7/5.

Hope this helped...
