Determine the value of 'k' for which of the following system is consistent.

3x(k-1)y=4 ,  7x(2k-3)=-2

a equation is consistent when it is having either unique solution or infinite solution .Operation for unique solution is a1/a2 is not equal to b1/b2.
.Operation for infinite solution is a1/a2=b1/b2=c1/c2.
here a1=3,a2=7,b1=(k-1),b2=(2k-3),c1=-4,c2=2.
therefore,putting the values in Operation we get,3/7=(k-1)/(2k-3)
3(2k-3)=7(k-1)......,
6k-9=7k-7
k=-2
