Explanation:

Let's call the required vector be C

C = xi + yj + zk

and resultant vector be R = k. ……since it's along z direction x and y component will b zero…and it's unit vector so magnitude of R Will be 1

By law of vector addition,

a + b + c = R

2i-4j-6k + 4i+3j+3k + xi + yj + zk = k

(2 + 4 + x)i + ( -4 +3 +y) j + ( -6 +3 + z)k = k

by equating the co-efficients of i j and k

x = -6

y = 1

z = 4

so

c = -6i +j +4k
