Determine the volume of a conical vessel having radius of the base as 5 cm and its slant height as 13

cm. (Use 3.14)

Volume of cone =1÷3πr2h

radius= 5 cm
slant height=13 cm
By Pythagoras theorem,
h²+r²=l²
h²=13²-5²=(13+5)(13-5)=18*8
h= 3*2*2=12cm

Volume of the conical vessel=( πr² h)/3=(3.14*25*12)/3= 314 cm³
