Vo forgiven networks is (a) 19.3 V and (b) 14.3 V.

Given - Network diagram

Find - Output voltage

Solution - (a) We know the voltage of silicon diode is 0.7 Volts. Since both diodes can pass current and have no resistance connected to them, current can pass through any of the diode.

So, output voltage = 20 - 0.7

Vo = 19.3 Volts.

As both are Silicon diodes, the Vo will be same for both.

(b) In this network, one silicon diode is forward biased while other is backward biased. So, current will through forward biased diode only.

Vo = 15 - 0.7

Vo = 14.3 V

Hence, Vo for given networks is (a) 19.3 Volts and (b) 14.3 Volts.
