determine whether the following ratios form a proportion or not
1L:250ML and 1000:50

1L : 250ML :: 1000 : 50

1000 : 250 :: 1000 : 50

product of extremes = 1000 x 50

= 50000

product of means = 250 x 1000

= 250000

product of extremes ≠ product of means

∴ ratios are not in proportion
