Quadratic Equation:x^2 + 5x + 5 = 0

For real roots, D≥0

=> D = b^2 - 4ac

=> D = (5)^2 - 4(1)(5)

=> D = 25 - 20

=> D = 5

Which is greater than zero.

Hence, the equation has real roots.

.

Now, for the roots of the equation,

x = (-b±√D)/2a

x = (-5±√5)/2

Hence, the roots are x = (-5±√5)/2
