no it isn't.Beacause when u substitute the value of X in the equation it doesn't equate to zero

No , the answer is 5.

First ,

x-2=0

x=-2

Then substitute the value of x^2+2x-3 then find the answer.

You will get 5...

That's why it's not a factor of (x-2)
