Solution :

Let p ( x ) = x³ - 19x + 30

And, g ( x ) = ( x - 3 )

⇒ x - 3 = 0
⇒ x = 3

Now, putting the value of x in p ( x ).

x³ - 19 x + 30 = 0

⇒ ( 3 )³ - 19 ( 3 ) + 30 = 0

⇒ 27 - 57 + 30 = 0

⇒ 57 - 57 = 0

⇒ 0 = 0

Hence, ( x - 3 ) is the factor of polynomial x³ - 19x + 30.
