P(x) = x⁴+x³+x²+x+1

g(x) = x+1

Zero of g(x) is given as x+1=0 or x=(-1)

ACCORDING TO THE FACTOR THEOREM

if p(-1) = 0, than g(x) is a factor of p(x)

P(-1) = (-1)⁴ + (-1)³ + (-1)² + (-1) +1

P(-1) = 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 +1 = 1

Since p(-1) is not equal to 0

Therefore g(x) is not the factor of p(x)
