LET THE x is -1

p(x) =   {x}^{3}  +  {x}^{2}  + x + 1

p( - 1) =  ({ - 1})^{3}  +  ({ - 1})^{2} + ( - 1) + 1

 =  - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1

so the answer is 0

it means (x+1) is the factor of x power 3+ x power 2 + x + 1
