By comparison method

3x - 5y = 11 , 4x + 5y = 3

EVALUATION

Here the given equations are

3x - 5y = 11 - - - - - - (1)

4x + 5y = 3 - - - - - - (2)

From Equation 1 we get

 \displaystyle \sf{5y = 3x - 11}

 \displaystyle \sf{ \implies \: y =  \frac{3x - 11}{5} } \:  \:  \:  -  -  - (3)

From Equation 2 we get

 \displaystyle \sf{5y = 3 - 4x }

 \displaystyle \sf{ \implies \: y =  \frac{3 - 4x }{5} } \:  \:  -  -  -  - (4)

Comparing the values of y from Equation 3 and Equation 4 we get

 \displaystyle \sf{  \frac{3x - 11}{5} =  \frac{3 - 4x }{5} }

 \displaystyle \sf{  \implies 3x - 11=  3 - 4x }

 \displaystyle \sf{  \implies 3x  + 4x = 11 + 3 }
