2/3 is the probability that atleast 2 shot hits the target if each takes one short

Step-by-step explanation:

Dev can hit a target 3 times in 6 shots

=> probability of D hitting = (3/6) = 1/2

=>  probability of D not hitting = 1/2

Pawan can hit the target 2 times in 6  shots

=> probability of P hitting = (2/6) = 1/3

probability of P not hitting =  2/3

Lakhan can hit the target 4 times in 4 shorts.

=> probability of L hitting = (4/4) = 1

probability of L not hitting = 0

Now if Dev , Pawan & Lakhan Each hit a short

Chances that atleast 2 shorts hit the target

=  DP(not L)  + DL(notP) + LP(notD)  + DPL

= (1/2)(1/3)(0)  + (1/2)(1)(2/3)  + (1)(1/3)(1/2)  + (1/2)(1/3)(1)

= 0 + 1/3  + 1/6  + 1/6

= 0 + 1/3 + 1/3

= 2/3

2/3 is the probability that atleast 2 shot hits the target if each takes one short
