Sometimes, our foolishness costs us dearly. A foolish act not only waste our time, but also energy and money. Hari paid the price for his stupidity and when he realized his mistakes, it was already too late to go back.
It all started on the day of Christmas. As expected, Hari had no plans for Christmas because his family was devoted Hindus. So as a matter of fact, they did not celebrate Christmas. After a long, stretchy, and boring afternoon, Hari got a call from his friend, Nizam asking him to go to a club with other friends. No matter how many times he declined, Nizam was determined to drag Hari to the club to celebrate Christmas. It was a spoiled way to celebrate a sacred holiday.
At the club, they danced, smoked and drank a lot. After a sweaty enjoyment, Hari decided to come back home since his parents were also strict. He made it clear to his friends that he would be out of the club before midnight. And as promised, Hari started for his home.
He was alone and the streets were cold, empty. After a few steps, he heard someone screaming at the end of the road. He rushed towards the source of the voice and found out that two girls were being dragged on the street by a gang of drunkards.
Hari decided to jump ahead and rescue the girls. What he didn't actually think that he was totally outnumbered by the bad guys. He should have called his friends but he did not.
Hari was a strong devotee of Bollywood films and those hero-centred movies that influenced audience with a hero who fights a bunch of gangsters single-handedly. The boy wanted to look like a hero, desperate to create a uproar on the social media about his heroic deeds.
His instant reaction was not to rescue the defeated women but to become a star overnight. As usual, he was severely beaten by those filthy people and was sent to the hospital. The girls did not make it.
It was stupid enough of Hari to jump in front of a snake when he knew it would bite him.
