A 150-200 words story based on the happenings on Children’s Day
We were eager for this Children's Day outing, longing to be out with our buddies for an entire day. But, we never imagined that the day had something in store for us. We heard a loud sound and then someone crying loudly. We were a team of five friends who had planned this outing. All of us had planned to get together at the bus stop and hire a cab from the nearby travels. Four of us had already arrived and we were waiting for Rahul.
We turned round in the direction of the sound to find that a car and a motorcycle had met with a head-on collision. A small boy who had fallen off from his father’s bike had hurt himself very badly on the forehead and was crying out of pain. The driver of the car had come on the wrong side of the road but refused to accept his mistake. The boy’s father did not know what to do. Suddenly, I suggested that we hire a cab from the travels and take him to the hospital. My friends agreed and we managed to rush the boy and his father to the nearest medical centre. None of us wanted to go for the outing. So, we called up Rahul and told him. We waited till we heard from the doctor that the boy was safe and ha been brought right on time.
Answer:
We were eager for this Children's Day outing, longing to be out with our buddies for an entire day. But we never imagined that the day had something in store for us. We heard a loud sound and then all of us turned our necks towards the direction. One of the gondolas from the Ferris wheel in which the children were enjoying their ride, had fallen off on the ground.
All of us were shocked, fearing the worst and praying to God. We heaved a huge sigh of relief to see the gondola empty. The teachers got the Ferris wheel vacated. The children were asked not to panic as any student could have been badly injured. The teachers collected the students, made them board buses and we returned back to school.
Each time we remembered the loud sound, we thanked God for his protection.
