One cold and silent night, Rajan was sleeping peacefully. He was in deep sleep as he was exhausted. Suddenly he woke up to the sound of voices. He was frightened as he was alone at home, late in the night. His parents had gone to visit his grandmother in the hospital as she was ill. He got up and darted towards the window at the end of his room. Outside it was dark. He could barely see anything but he could make out a few masked figures standing by a tree near his house. He was shocked. Be could barely move. Gearing up some courage, he shouted out to them. There was no response, as a silent but tense moment passed. Scared, he moved away from the window and towards the table where he kept his phone. He was so scared, he could barely hold the phone steady in his shaking hands. He was about to call the cops when suddenly one of the masked figures came in front of him and removed the mask. It was his friend, Ashish, grinning. Now Rajan felt embarrassed. His friends were playing a prank and he felt for it. Now fuming with rage, he scolded his friends and ushered them out of his house.
