In a certain village, there was an elderly lady. Every day, the woman's unusual goose laid a golden egg. The woman was greedy and made money by selling the egg. She became quite wealthy very quickly.

She desired to amass even more wealth and wasn't content with just one egg per day. She thought to herself, that if the tummy is cut, she will be able to collect all of the golden eggs at once.

Then she will be the wealthiest woman in this town. So, with a sharp knife, she  slaughtered the goose. However, sadly, the goose didn't have a single egg in her stomach.

The woman appeared to be depressed. She had lost both the goose and the golden eggs. The moral of the narrative is that greed is a source of suffering.
