There was a farmer who was very poor. One day he decided to put an end to his poverty by going to the king and requesting him to lend him some money to buy a small piece of land.
The next day he borrowed a little money from a friend for his travel expenses and sets off to the city to meet the king. Later that day when he reached the gates of the king's palace, he was stopped by the the gaurds who demanded the farmer for the reason to visit the king. Hearing the reason, the gaurds started laughing out loud and called the farmer a foolish man.
Now, the king has the habit of disguising himself once in a while to find out the problems of people. That day, he dresses himself as the palace gardener and overhears the taunting remarks of the gaurds. He decides to help the farmer and comes up to him and takes him inside. He gives food to the farmer and asks him his problems. Hearing about the story of the poor, hard-working farmer, the gardener assures him to go back to the village and see what happens. Not knowing that the gardener is actually the king, the farmer feels disappointed that he couldn't meet the king and goes back to his village.
He reaches vllage the next morning to find a rolled piece of document at the doorstep, giving the details of the land that the king has donated the farmer. The farmer then realises that the man he had met the day before was the king himself and is overjoyed with his gift and he lives happily from that day.

After reaching there he searched for a place to live in. he found that the condition of the people in the city is worse than the people in the villages. He searched for a job but was unable to get any. Even if he got a job, the pay was very low for it. He decided to leave the job and the city as well. In the end, he discussed this with his wife and they both decided to return to their village. They went back and tried to earn by doing farming on their own land.
