He expressed his love and loyalty for the beggar by entertaining people when he was not able to do it.
That day the people felt a new joy, a joy which is born out of true love and sincerity. The dog inspired values in them. They felt elated to see the beggar and the dog helping each other. So everyone put double number of things and money in the basket when the dog went round as usual after the performance. Everyone, including the beggar and the dog were happy.
