A story with the theme ‘out in a stormy night’
Raju had just stepped out of his home in the evening to meet his friend who was admitted in the hospital. After spending a few hours with him, Raju stepped out to go home. On his way, he stopped at a juice shop to quench his thirst with a glass of cold fresh juice. As he was sipping his juice, it suddenly became very windy. This was soon followed by thunder and lightning. Raju decided to hurry as he knew a storm was brewing up and he had about half an hour’s travel to reach my place.
He was just ten minutes away from home when it became very dark and the storm set in. The streetlights went off and he was drenched. Raju stood where he was not knowing what to do. He did not dare take a step ahead as he could not see where he was going. It seemed like an eternal wait for the storm to subside and streetlights to come on again. Suddenly, he thought he heard a vehicle stop near him and someone call him. He saw the flashlight of a mobilephone directed towards him. Suddenly, he saw his neighbor John who was returning from work. John told him to step in and the car took off slowly. They reached home in about 15 minutes. Raju got down and thanked John for his timely help. He then rushed towards his door as he knew his mother would be waiting for him. He also wanted to change his dress as quickly as possible because he was feeling very cold.
