It was June 1st. The day that the scientist waited with anticipation. It was his birthday. He wanted it to be one of his best birthdays and a birthday is best when you spend it with people you love. He invited his friends and relatives 3 days ago to this auspicious event he had planned. As soon as he woke up, the scientist ordered a cake, cleaned and decorated his lavish and comfortable apartment and arranged everything for the birthday party. Everything up until now was going perfect! The food was ready as well, it was a birthday brunch. The invitation had said to arrive for the birthday around 11 pm. He couldn't wait for everyone to show up. The birthday scientist waited and waited with utmost patience. He looked at his ticking watch. "11:32 am", he said starting to feel worried. Nervousness took over him.
An hour has passed, it's 12:32 pm now! He has lost his patience, the man started to get even more worried and he was angry too. "How dare they not show up even after I send the invites? Such rude attitudes! Not even one has shown up!", The scientist said with infuriation in his voice. He unmindfully opened one of his drawers only to find the undelivered birthday invitation cards. The birthday scientist felt sorrow take over him. Oh, how could he be so blind? He felt sad, was it too late to invite people over now? He didn't know what to do. He decided, with great sadness that he'll spend the day by himself now. That evening , something happy happened. The scientist might've forgotten to deliver the cards but his loved ones never will forget his birthday. They all came to see him that evening. The food was cold but they didn't mind. The only thing that matters is that everyone was happy and having fun. The scientist was happy now.
