The title for this story is "Doing good to others will help us someday."
Once on a sunny afternoon, on the banks of river, a partridge was resting on a branch of a mango tree looking for its prey. Its attention was suddenly caught by something in the river.
When the partridge saw carefully, it observed that an ant was flowing in the river and was struggling to save itself from drowning. The partridge decided to help the ant and it threw a leaf into the river. The ant climbed up the leaf and was saved.
After few days, again on a sunny afternoon, the same partridge was having a nap. A hunter came on the riverside in search of its hunt. The hunter saw the partridge resting on the tree. He stringed the bow and aimed on the partridge. The moment he was about to leave the arrow, an ant bit his hand and the hunter started crying. The partridge got alarmed and it woke up.
The partridge came to know about the whole incident. When it looked at the ant, it came to know that the ant was the same to which that partridge helped earlier. The partridge exchanged the greetings with the ant and flew away.
