1. Road transportation has huge importance as it provides direct connectivity to all the places.

2. Railways are the cheapest means of transportation, mainly for long distances.  

3. Pipeline transportation is the most convenient means to transport oil and gases is liquefied form over long distances. For example: The gas pipeline connecting Jagadispur in Uttar Pradesh to Hajira of Gujarat passes through Kota in Rajasthan.  

4. Waterways are the in-expensive and simple way of carrying bulky products over long distances. The use of waterways as an average of transportation in is very limited in our country.
