Answer:

a 12 cm long rope is cut into three pieces in such a way that the square of the length of the longest piece is the same as the sum of the squares of the length of the other two pieces.

Answer:

1m=100cm

(x+8)+(3x-5)+(2x+1)=100

6x+9-5=100

6x+4=100

6x=100-4

6x=96

x=16

(x+8)=(16+8)=24

(3x-5)=(3*16-5)=(48-5)=43

(2x+1)=(2*16+1)=(32+1)=33

3x-1 is the longest rope
