If light falls onto a glass slab,  

Three phenomenon will take place,

  • Light is absorbed by the glass
  • Energy is dissipated due to heating  
  • Refraction of light.

Refraction: The deviation of the light ray while passing from one medium to another is called as refraction. It involves in changing the speed and wavelength of the light.
