Newton's laws are the bedrock for motion.

Just think about it for a minute. Anything that moves* can be modelled from these laws. Anything from hinges and shelves to rockets and submarines.

Further to this, the theory of gases is defined using Newton so balloons and ovens can be included.

Classical electronics and magnetism was derived using Newton so you can lump in a good chunk of electrical goods and van der graaf generators.

Newton sneaks his way into fluid mechanics as well so stuff like perfume sprayers and irrigation systems

I could go on but I think you get the idea. Newton is kind of fundamental to most of everything we make and do.

*I mean, he isn't great with stuff close to the speed of light, but how often do you find yourself thinking:

“but what if I'm chasing the dog at light speed?”

Unless you're doing crazy stuff, you can just Newton it.
