Devika has a square piece of cloth of area 9 m² and she wants to make
16 square-shaped scarves of equal size out of it. What should possibly be the
length of the side of the scarf that can be made out of this piece?​

Area of square = 9 m^2

It means the length of one side = √9

= 3 m

= 300 cm

In that 9 m^2, you need to have 16 square

So the area of one square will be 9/16 m

If area of one square = 9/16

Then length of side of the square = √(9/16)

= 3/4 m

= 75 cm

THE LENGTH OF THE SCARF WILL BE 75 cm

AND AREA OF SCARF WILL BE 9/16 m^2
