Devika has a square piece of cloth of area 9m squre and she wants to make 16squre shaped scaves of equal size out of it.what shoul be the length of the scarf that can be made out of this piece

Given:

Area of square = 9 m²

So, length of one side = √a
                                    = √9                                   
                                    = 3 m                                   
                                    = 300 cm

Now, In that 9 m² you need to have 16 square.

So, Area of one square will be 9/16 m.

If, area of one square = 9/16
Then, length of side of the square = √(9/16)                                                     
                                                       = 3/4 m                                                     
                                                       = 75 cm

∴ The length of the scarf will be 75 cm Or 0.75 m

And, The area of the scarf will be 9/16 m² Or 0.5625 m² .
